The Commencement
of the Project "Enabling Disadvantaged Families Economically in Soureef,
Nuba and Kharas Villages."
The Palestinian Center
for Communication and Development Strategies in
Hebron
announces the commencement of the Project "Enabling Disadvantaged
Families Economically in Soureef, Nuba and
Kharas
Villages." This project
focuses on establishing small feminist projects of bee-keeping in the
mentioned areas in collaboration with Sabaya Kharas Association, Soureef
Feminist Club and Nuba Feminist Club. This project targets 120 women
from the three villages, provided that 10% of the beneficiary women are
disabled.
At the preparatory meeting held today in
the hall of the Palestinian center and attended by the representatives
of the partner institutions, Mr. Jameel Alderbashi pointed out that the
project targets the single-income families, the families affected by the
Apartheid Wall and the ones that are financially able to contribute in
the project. Also, he noted that the single project costs 1000 USD and
each beneficiary family contributes 20 % of the project costs.
It is worth mentioning that the project
aims to strengthen the single-income families economically through the
carrying out of small feminist projects and improve the Palestinian
woman's role in the sustainable development. Furthermore, the
participants will receive intensive trainings in managing bee-keeping
projects.
