Within the
Project 'Building Small Economic Project', the Palestinian Center
Distributes Sheep to 30 Families
Within the eighth stage of
the project "Building Small Economic Projects Generating Income for the
Palestinian Woman in Hebron" which is funded by
Arab Fund for Economic and Social
Development,
the Palestinian Center for Communication and Development Studies
in Hebron has established
30 sheep farm projects. This project is
cooperated
by Feminist Program Center and Woman Department at General Federation of
Palestine Workers' Unions in Hebron. The number of beneficiaries has so
far been 140 women.
It's worth mentioning that this
project aims at increasing the targeted families' revenue and enhancing
their productivity. Also, beneficiary women were selected according to
specific criterions set by the project work team in cooperation with the
partner institutions.
Furthermore, Ms. Leila Qawasmeh, Feminist
Department coordinator at
General Federation of Palestine Workers' Unions in Hebron,
points out that this project is one of
the most significant projects that the Department cooperates.
Ms. Qawasmeh adds that the
sustainable development has to be one of the priorities of the
institutional work in Palestine, calling the Palestinian Center to
involve the Feminist
Department in all the projects to be carried.
Mr. Jameel Alderbashi, General Manager at the Palestinian
Center for Communication for Communication and Development Studies,
points out that the Palestinian Center will continue targeting other
feminist groups in Hebron district in the coming days. Mr. Alderbashi
adds that the project is carried out in a time of difficult economic
conditions, so the Palestinian Center will carry out other productive
and income-generating projects that target 120 women in Nuba, Soureef
and Kharas.
