The
administrative report issued by
the Palestinian Center for Communication and Development Studies in
Hebron concerning
the activities and programs carried out in 2009 indicates that, in 2009,
the activities have increased by 58% from 2008. The report notes the
following points.
The
first point, the report states that the Palestinian Center has carried
out 90 workshops in Hebron and Bethlehem: namely, 13 workshops on the
"Identification of Women Needs of the Economical Projects", 23 workshops
on the "Identification of Community Institutions' Needs", 50 workshops
on Human Rights and 17 workshops on "the Role of the Palestinian Youth
in Reconciliation, Forgiveness and Coexistence". The number of
participants in these workshops was 2785 males and females.
The second point, the Palestinian Center has carried out
23 different training sessions in 230 days: namely, 5 training sessions
on "Civil Institutions Capacity Building", 5 training sessions on
"Project Writing and Fundraising", 3 training sessions on "Youth
Capacity Building" and 9 training sessions on "Establishing and Managing
Micro-Projects that Generate Income". These trainings targeted 557 males
and females.
The third point, the report indicates that the Palestinian
Center has carried out 140 feminist micro-projects. These projects
targeted many families living in villages adjacent to the Apartheid
Wall, Camps,
Bedouin settlements east of Yatta and
the Old City in Hebron. Each project costs $ 1000.
The fourth point,
the report shows that the Palestinian Center has distributed office
equipment and stationary to 9 grass root institutions and 3 sports
clubs. Also, the Palestinian Center has held 3 conferences participated
by 1500 people. The Palestinian center expects to have a larger increase
in 2010.
